September Wedding at Salomon Farm Barn and Flower Fields

I don’t usually photograph weddings, but of course I made an exception for Hope and Wyatt, since Hope is my husband’s sister. It was an honor to be the one to capture their day! I did my best impression of a wedding photographer, and I think I even had a few people convinced I was the real thing.

The tricky part of wedding photography isn’t really the photography itself. It’s all the logistics: orchestrating the first look, giving input on the timeline, making sure to get all the important shots, organizing large groups for family photos, and keeping an eye on the weather to get outdoor couples portraits done without getting rained on.

But we did it! I hesitated to make a wedding blog post since that’s not an area of photography I want to focus on, but these two definitely deserve a shout-out and I’m really so excited with how their images turned out. It was a gorgeous event, and a fun day with a fun group of people. The barn was decorated in sunflowers to match the wedding party’s bouquets, and the farm’s flower fields of sunflowers and zinnias were in full bloom.

Congratulations again to Hope and Wyatt!
