Hope and Wyatt got married right here at Salomon Farm last year, and I was their wedding photographer (making a rare exception to my “I’m not a wedding photographer” rule.) Now, they’re a family of three! We came back to Salomon Farm on their first anniversary and recreated some of their wedding photos. We visited the main barn where Hope and Wyatt had their wedding ceremony, the path outside the farmhouse where they had their first look, and the sunflower field where they took portraits with the wedding party.
The weather cooperated beautifully! It was sunny and warm, but not hot or humid like it was on their wedding day. We were able to make the most of all the scenery at Salomon Farm without sweltering in the afternoon heat. Hope and Wyatt’s little one cooperated beautifully, as well. She was talkative and curious and even willing to look at the camera and smile for some pictures. Her favorite part of the day was sitting on the ground, playing with sticks, and trying to put leaves in her mouth. It was really fun to have Lola on the outside for pictures this time around!
I’m so glad Hope came up with the idea to do this session! It was fun to look back at their wedding photos from last year to see what we could recreate in their family session. Salomon Farm is a great location for a photo session, especially when the sunflowers and zinnias are blooming. The flower fields are stunning! I’m so happy with the way these images turned out, and that I got to work with my sister-in-law to capture her sweet family.
If you are looking for family photos this fall, send me a message to learn more about my portrait sessions!
